Grasstime®: Bluegrass Storytellers
Family & friends gathered wherever they could and laughed, sang & danced to songs of God, love, myths, moonshine & hard times. Grasstime® is on a mission to keep this music and its heritage alive. Grasstime is a Nashville-based band that blends traditional Appalachian roots bluegrass with contemporary songwriting. The music focusing on authentic stories of life.
Early Recognition
Shortly after forming, Grasstime won the Full Moon Pickin’ Party contest in Nashville, which led to the 2017 debut album recorded at Dark Horse Studios.
Arrington Vineyards Residency
The band has held a residency at Arrington Vineyards owned by Kix Brooks of the legendary Brooks & Dunn since 2015. Performing hundreds of shows for local audiences and visitors from around the world.
Touring and Community
Since 2021, the group has toured internationally and across the U.S.. In 2024, the band helped organize the Appalachian Aid Benefit Show, raising near $75,000 for Samaritans Purse and the International Bluegrass Music Association Trust Fund to assist musicians impacted by Hurricane Helene. In 2025 the band completed an 11 country tour throughout Europe as Kristy Cox & Grasstime. In 2026 to accompany the release of the bands memory care and tribute single and album "Waltz of Time", the band partnered with and started a fund to raise money for the TN Alzheimer's Association.

New Releases
Grasstime signed with New Day Records 12/24/24. Released their first single, "Cotton, Corn and Hay," 9/25 as a tribute to multi-generational farming families. “Another Teardrop in the Ocean“ 2/26 and the title track “Waltz of Time”, 3/28. These tracks off of their upcoming album, Waltz of Time, which features songs focused on blue collar life, memory, love, landscape and the experiences of small-town life.
