ABOUT JEFF WOODS:
Jeff Woods is a powerhouse indie retro funk-soul-rock-blues singer & songwriter in Nashville, TN. He is heavily influenced by the rich sounds of Muscle Shoals, Detroit-Motown, Memphis, New Orleans, Chicago and his home roots of Bristol, TN. His vocal pedigree is deeply rooted from soul music mixed with a unique vocal story & style from a wide range of influences.
Jeff Woods has opened up for legends like Steve Cropper, Kansas, Joe Bonamassa, KC-i & Jojo, co-headlined a show with country singer John Berry and several other artists over the years.
The Jeff Woods Band has been a staple in the Nashville music scene for a long time. Jeff was named one of the Writers on The Rise for the 6th year in a row this year from the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival in Muscle Shoals, AL.
Jeff was born & raised into a musical family in East Tennessee that has performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage. After attending college at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN, he would go on to record with some well known musicians.
In 2018 Jeff released his 2nd album The Count. A concept album to represent his love of retro '70s soul mixed with modern undertones of the blues. The Nashville Scene declared his album one of the best soul-blues albums released in Nashville for 2018.
2023 brought the release of a mixtape EP called Weightless Weekends.This EP shows Jeff's versatility as a songwriter and as an artist. The lead singles “Best Summer” and "Weightless" show a diversity of powerful songwriting and modern soul vibes. Jeff has been called a "storyteller of the soul.” You will feel his passion and soul in every note written & performed live.
