NASHVILLE ATTRACTIONS COALITION BUS TOUR IN FOUR STATES; SPOTLIGHTING STAND BY YOUR MAN: THE Tam WYNETTE STORY (NASHVILLE, Tenn.)---May 17, 2001---The Nashville Attractions Coalition will visit four states on the late Tam Wynette's tour bus to promote the "Grand New Nashville" with eight participating attractions from May 21 through 25. These include the historic Ryman Auditorium, which will premiere Stand By Your Man: The Tam Wynette Story as part of the BellSouth Musical Series September 13 through October 28, 2001, along with other area attractions. Other participating attractions include the new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Cheekwood, the Grand Ole Opry, The Hermitage (home of President Andrew Jackson), Nashville Nightlife Breakfast and Dinner Theater, the Opryland Hotel, and the Wildhorse Saloon. The tour bus will make stops at AAA Auto Club offices and tour operator companies in Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The "Grand New Nashville" is the campaign theme developed by the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau to highlight existing and new attractions in the city, with the newest being the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum that opened on May 17. The Nashville Attractions Coalition is traveling on Tam Wynette's tour bus to offer tour and travel operators an opportunity to take a glimpse at her life on the road. Stand By Your Man: The Tam Wynette Story is a new musical, written to celebrate the life and work of the legendary "first lady of country music," Tam Wynette. The production will chronicle one of the most revered and heralded artists of all time across all music genres. The musical will run September 13 - October 28 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Performances will be every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm (the last show is Sunday, October 28). Tickets are $32 and $24 for adults and $16 and $12 for children under 12.
