MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR LEGENDARY SONGWRITER HARLAN HOWARD SLATED FOR MARCH 19 AT RYMAN AUDITORIUM (NASHVILLE, Tenn.)---ammorial service for Country Music Hall of Fame member, legendary songwriter Harlan Howard, will be held at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, March 19 from 2 pm - 4 pm Family and friends will be seated on the main floor of the Ryman and limited seating for the general public will be in the balcony. Harlan Howard, the man behind such timeless songs as "I Fall to Pieces," "Pick Me Up on Your Way Down," "Busted," "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail," and "Heartaches by the Number," was once called "the Irving Berlin of country music" due to the size of his catalog of classics. In a career that spanned six decades, Harlan Howard penned more than 100 top-10 hits. He provided hit songs to several generations of stars, from Kitty Wells to Patty Loveless, from Johnny Cash to Rodney Crowell, from Patsy Cline to Reba McEntire. The Ryman Auditorium is located at 116 Fifth Avenue North in downtown Nashville.
