JOE DIFFIE ONCE AGAIN TO HOST FIRST STEPS BENEFIT AT THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE ON FEBRUARY 11
All star lineup joins him to benefit the school

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (January 18) Joe Diffie and First Steps are proud to announce that he will once again host "Country Steps In For First Steps" 2001, scheduled for February 11, 2001, 6:30 at the Ryman Auditorium. Artists set to join this year include, , Trace Adkins, Lisa Angelle, Jimmy Hall, The Martins, Neal McCoy, Mike Snider, Chalee Tennison, keith urban and Mark Wills.

A Silent Auction will be held in the upstairs lobby of the Ryman during the show. George Strait, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Clint Black and Ricky Skaggs are just a few of the artist that have donated items for this year's event.

Sponsors of this year's show include WSM Radio, Sony Music, Purity Dairies, Williams, Crosslin Sparks &Vaden among others.

Joe Diffie's son Tyler was born with Down Syndrome and attended the school until the age of three. Because of his personal involvement with the school, Joe vowed to give something back to the center that helped his family through such a difficult time. Through his annual concerts and golf tournaments, Joe has helped raise over $600,000 for the school, whose programs are funded mainly through donations, grants and fund-raisers.

First Steps, Inc. provides early intervention care for both special needs and typically developing children birth to age five. Their efforts are directed toward helping children and their families overcome the adverse effect of special challenges or circumstances.

Tickets are on sale now at all local Ticketmaster outlets and the Ryman Auditorium box office. Ticket prices are $28.50 and $18.50. Premium "Artist Circle" tickets that include a post-show reception are available by calling 615-370-7422.
